Strips

HUMOUR STRIPS

The Really Heavy Greatcoat
This is the longest-running strip I write, published on downthetubes and via the comics-to-mobile service ROK Comics. It has also featured in Comics International. It centres on a talking greatcoat brought to life in the 1960s with the help of mind-bending drugs stuffed in its pockets. Drawn by Nick Miller.

The Underversity
A spin-off from The Really Heavy Greatcoat, drawn by Paul J. Palmer

Zambaquons
Written and drawn by me, these critters first appeared in the comics fanzine SCAN way back in the late 1980s

At Home With...
Two Doctor Who strips Nick Miller and I came up with as a pitch to Doctor Who Adventures, which we're guessing they didn't like.

ADVENTURE STRIPS

Ex Astris
Set in the 26th Cenury, this is a science fiction strip I'm writing, drawn by Mike Nicoll. It's being published in Spaceship Away magazine and a mobile version has been created for ROK Comics. The strip has its own dedicated web site - www.exastris.co.uk - and blog.

The Grand Tour
This strip was written for Italian publisher CJL but it only ran for four months before the title hit problems. Drawn by Mike Collins it centres on aliens visiting Earth as tourists.
I'm currently writing another strip for CJL called Aten, about a young band in a Northern British town with a very odd manager.

Death Duty
Drawn by Alan Burrows. A future bounty hunter working for a corrupt government goes rogue.

Junk
Art by Russell Davies. A small rundown starship and its small crew seek out new worlds, new civilisations – and try to make as much money as possible without getting killed...

The Quatermass Continuum
A four-page sample for a proposed licensed Quatermass comic. Art by Mike Nicoll.

A Stitch in Time
A silly Doctor Who strip I worte for The Incredible Hulk Presents for Marvel UK back in the 1990s

Down The Tubes Gobbets

Down the TubesThis image is something from a much larger story. I've written loads of this, but it's all over the place on paper and on old computers. Artwork by SMS.

Rourke Stories

The Wand

This warrior woman scrapes a living from the detrius of an ancient planet laid waste by an unexplained natural disaster. Rourke was originally created by me for STRIP magazine but brought to life by Liam Sharp. This is a text version of the strip story which appeared in Strip #4. Liam and I hold the copyright to the character.

Other Stories

Walking the Dog

Daft Stuff

Stray Cat Rules
I didn't write these but they are fun. Well, I thought so!
