The Really Heavy Greatcoat Archive: December 2004

19 December 2004

This one's inspired by a piece of public art in Lancaster. Early in 2004, sculptor Sophie Ryder (www.sophieryder.com) had the a "rabbits on a horse" statue installed in Lancaster's Market Square. One night it was vandalised -- covered in paint -- and no-one could work out how to get it off.
So, after much thought, the statue was replaced -- with a statue by Sophie Ryder that looked uncannily like the the first one!
Have to say though, if you ever do get a chance to see Sophie's work, it's well worth it. Six foot tall rabbits can't be ingnored!
