terminal enhanced and exploded into an artform. Full-blown compositions
of sheer
pixellization like these bitmaps. There's a lot of Japanese sites out there
who have really run with this, and lovepixel has
some great links.
One pixel art is used to create icons for your computer
desktop. There's a handy tutoorial on how to do this on the funkreich
site here.
You can even build pixel cities to email to friends easily using City
Creator, a joint project by Denise Wilton (also known as
Pep) and Cal Henderson. Denise came up with the original idea and design,
and Cal helped the
idea along and made it all come to life by programming it.

Shockwave-based. Habbo Hotel is a virtual
hotel where you can hang out and make new friends. It's designed for
14 to
20 year
olds
in the UK, but everyone is welcome.
Like the "avatar worlds" created by Avaterra and others when
you register you 'become' a Habbo and then you can walk, dance, eat,
drink
and chat

the cafes,
restaurants,
swimming pools and games rooms. You can even decorate and furnish your
own room.
