Fiction work is rarely commissioned from new authors, and established ones don't have it easy, either. Some very commercially successful writers have that luxury, but not the majority. Writing a book is completely different than writing a short story. If you want to know more about writing, check out some of the sites on our writers' resources pages, or our writing for comics section.
